As an Illinois alm, this makes me sad. No wonder Illinois AD Josh Whitman pushed stadium plans to later and focused on developing new football facilities. It hard to compete with views of the lake. But the views of cornfeilds and the Illini football facilities being up wind from the Vetrinary Campus cannot beat a view of a practice feild in the summer on the shore of Lake Michigan.
