TLS Picks: Week 7

The college football season is probably the best time of the year. Some may argue that CFB fails to compare to the NFL, but in terms of betting on games, CFB is easy money. With that said, here are my 5 bets to place this weekend if you want to make some money. I use MyBookie.ag, so those are the lines I will use.

Last week, TLS went 3-2. Not terrible, but if you bet a unit like we did, you were up 1.64 units. As it happened last week, lines could change. I will update if lines move more than 1 point. TLS Season Record: 18-13

Northern Illinois vs Buffalo, Pick: Over 50

Last week, the Buffalo lost in 7 over times. At the end of regulation, the score was 31-31. Buffalo loves to score. NIU played in the wind last week , but still put up 24 points. Expect this game to be a MAC shoot out.

Texas vs. Oklahoma, Pick: Oklahoma -7

The Red River rivalry games have been usually close. Only once in the last 10 years has the game been won by more than 10 points. But Oklahoma and Baker Mayfield are pissed after last weeks loss to Iowa State. It will be very loud in Norman and the Sooners win big.

Navy vs. Memphis, Pick: Navy +3

The Midshipmen are in perfect mid-season form. Navy in undefeated going into week 7 and has earned the last spot in the AP poll. Memphis has rolled past weaker opponents, but struggled defensively against opponents that put up a fight. Against UCLA, Memphis allowed 633 yards of offense, 463 of which were through the air. Navy is going to be a very different game since they run the ball 81% of the time. Navy wins in a shootout.

TCU vs. Kansas State, Pick: TCU -7

TCU is rolling right now. The Horned Frogs will start fast, Kenny Hill will dominate. Kansas State is without their starting QB Jesse Ertz, who is out with a knee injury. TCU’s defensive line will be too much for Kansas State and the TCU offense will tire out the Kansas State D. K-State will keep it close in the first half, but TCU wins big at Bill Snyder Stadium. Put your entire paycheck on this game.

Iowa State vs. Kansas, Pick: Kansas +23

Iowa State is riding high after beating #3 Oklahoma on the road. Vegas is definitely riding that inertia against a bad team like Kansas. There is no doubt that the Cyclones will win this game by 2 scores. They are the better team. Iowa State will have their struggles because QB Kyle Kempt will not have the same game he had last week.
