TLS Picks: Week 9

The college football season is probably the best time of the year. Some may argue that CFB fails to compare to the NFL, but in terms of betting on games, CFB is easy money. With that said, here are my 5 bets to place this weekend if you want to make some money. I use MyBookie.ag, so those are the lines I will use.

Last week, TLS went 3-2 and 0-2 in my bonus picks. If you followed my picks, you were down -1.27 units. As it happened last week, lines could change. I will update if lines move more than 1 point. TLS Season Record: 22-20-1

#2 Penn State vs. #6 Ohio State, Pick: Penn State Money Line +205

Lock of the week. Game of the week. Vegas knows something that we don’t and wants to make bank screwing people over when Ohio State wins this weekend. But I say fuck Vegas and bet the money line for Penn State. I bet on this earlier in the week when I saw the line and the line has not moved. James Franklin vs. Urban Meyer. J.T. Barrett vs. Trace McSorely. J.K. Dobbins vs. Saquan Barkley. This game cannot get better.

#17 South Florida vs. Houston, Pick: USF -11

South Florida has dominated teams at home they have allowed 12.5 a gamaer while scoring around 40. USF had a 4th quarter meltdown against Tulane last week, blowing a 34-7 lead. Barring another meltdown, South Florida should be able to easily handle Houston.

#11 Oklahoma State vs. #22 West Virginia, Pick: Over 73

This game will be a shootout. Both Will Grier and Mason Rudolph have thrown for over 2500 yards already. Grier has 26 TDs and Rudolph isn’t that much behind at 19 TDs. Expect the final score to be along the lines of 35-42 or a basketball halftime score. Mike Gundy’s mllet will be too much for Dana Holgerson.

Kansas State vs. Kansas, Pick: Kansas State -24

Kansas had 24 yards in the last game, with -19 rushing yards. This is probably one of the worst teams in the country. Kansas State on the other hand has been competitive in the Big 12 losing to close games against Texas and Oklahoma. KSU wins 45-10.

#4 TCU vs. #25 Iowa State, Pick: TCU -6.5

Iowa State did beat Oklahoma in Norman. But the upset-minded Cyclones will not get it done in Ames this week. TCU has been rolling past teams. Last week, they kept Kansas to 24 yards in the entire game. TCU is dominant and this victory will cement the team at the top of the Big 12.
