TLS Picks: Week 10

The college football season is probably the best time of the year. Some may argue that CFB fails to compare to the NFL, but in terms of betting on games, CFB is easy money. With that said, here are my 5 bets to place this weekend if you want to make some money. I use MyBookie.ag, so those are the lines I will use.

Last week, TLS went 1-4 not a good week. As of writing this however my MACtion games are 4-1. If you followed my picks, you were down -0.45 units. After going down 1-4 last weekend, I hedged 4 units on a +145 ML Nebraska which won me a good chunk of change and saved the weekend. As it happened last week, lines could change. I will update if lines move more than 1 point. TLS Season Record: 27-25-1

FAU vs. Marshall, Pick: FAU -7.5

Lane Kiffin’s Owls have been rolling teams in the Conference USA. this band of misfits are in their 3rd or 4th school and have been rejected from every big D1 program in the nation. Best part of this team is that they are all stand out players and excellent position players. Check out the line up here. Kiffin is making the most of his season in Boca Raton. FAU wins by 2 scores.

Syracuse vs Florida State, Pick: Syracuse +6

Syracuse is coming off the upset against Clemson 2 weeks ago and last week the orange had a well deserved rest. FSU on the other hand got throttled 35-3 last week by Boston College. The game is early in Tallahassee. The weather could play a difference, where the Orange will be leaving a rainy cold 50 degree Syracuse for Tallahassee which is a clear 80. Great football weather. Cuse wins a close game. Florida State is 0-5-2 ATS this year.

#5 Oklahoma vs. #11 Oklahoma State, Pick: OU ML +115

We gotta make our money back some how right? Ok so this is one that you will have to follow till about an hour before game time. This current spread betting line is a 50/50 split. OU is 17-1 in the last 18 games straight up. and 12-2 in its last 14 games against OSU. Yet this year OU are the dogs. Huge match up between Mason Rudolph and Baker Mayfeild. There will be a lot of tension in this game since it determines playoff chances for both teams. I’ll be previewing the game on Saturday so check back on my final take and don’t bet on it until then.

 

#15 Iowa State vs. WVU, Pick: ISU ML +115

Iowa State is rolling. I feel like Vegas is just baiting me into picking the Cyclones. Iowa State has knocked off Oklahoma and TCU on the road. They are 6-1-1 against the spread. This will be a big win for ISU and they keep their standing atop the Big 12. Cyclones will leave Morgantown in shambles.

#3 Notre Dame vs Wake Forest, Pick: Irish -14

Notre Dame is very good this year. They will win and they will win big. Notre Dame has one of the most dominant defenses in the nation. They also have one of the best RBs in the nation in Josh Adams. Stop him and Wake forest has an upset. Against better talent, the Demon Deacons have not done well. Georgia Tech put up 427 yards on the ground against Wake Forest 2 weeks ago and in the last month, Wake Forest allowed 11 rushing TD’s. Notre Dame will exploit this and get the victory at home.
