Record Stands at 13-8, after going 2-2 yesterday. As always, some picks may be made on twitter, so be sure to follow me @thelastsnap_. But here is the slate for today.
Virginia vs. Navy
Bowl: Military Bowl | Time: 12:30 PM CT
Line:
Another day, another game. #MilitaryBowl kicks off within the hour, Navy wins the land game. It will be a cold kick off in Maryland, with the game total going under 51 points. #BowlSeason
— The Last Snap (@thelastsnap_) December 28, 2017
Navy started the season 5-0, but lost 6 of its last 7. Virginia is in a similar boat starting 5-1 but losing 5 of its last 6. Both teams are losers of their last three. Navy brings a successful triple option that slows down the game, and in their last game against Army, ran the ball 46 times, attempting only 2 passes in the game. The line opened 2 weeks ago with Virginia as the favorite, but has flipped twice, with Navy as a 2 and a half point favorite in the game. Navy should be able to control the pace of this game. Take the under.
#22 Virginia Tech vs. #19 Oklahoma State
Bowl: Camping World Bowl | Time: 4:15 PM CT
Line: Oklahoma State -6
This game is the first game where things get a bit intense. Both are fantastic teams that are going for 10 win seasons, but there is something that Oklahoma has that stands out. Mason Rudolph is a stud. Rudolph has led the Cowboys to a 9-3 season, completing 65 percent of his passes for 4553 yards for 35 TDs and only 9 interceptions. Oklahoma State ranks only behind Oklahoma on passing yardage and total yards on the season. And if you remember the Battle of Bedlam, it was a total shoot out. The Hokies will need to keep up with the Cowboy’s high powered offense and I will be surprised if they do. Virginia Tech is a good team, and is heading in the right direction under second year HC Jason Fuente, but Mike Gundy’s Cowboy’s will be too hot to handle down in Orlando.
#13 Stanford vs. #15 TCU
Bowl: Valero Alamo Bowl | Time: 8 PM CT
Line: Stanford ML +135
Both teams fell short of the conference championship, and both teams have something to prove for the season. Stanford fell in and out of the rankings, but won big games against Washington, Notre Dame and Cal to end the regular season. TCU had hopes for the playoffs before losing to then #25 Iowa State at the end of October. TCU is 3-3 in its last 6, including a pair of blow out losses to Oklahoma. Stanford is 4-2, in its last 6 losing both games by 3 points to ranked opponents. Stanford has been playing really well behind Heisman finalist RB Bryce Love, QB K.J. Costello and a fantastic offensive line. Kenny Hill will have a chance to bring TCU close but Stanford wins outright.
#18 Washington State vs. #16 Michigan State
Bowl: San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl| Time: 8 PM CT
Line: Wazzu +2 and Over 47.5, you won’t lose both.
Michigan State had a huge turn around after going 3-9 and missing a bowl a year ago. This year, MSU went 9-3, losing to Notre Dame, Ohio State and a morning doozy in Evanston against Northwestern. Wazzu on the other hand, looked to be the Pac-12 school in the CFP, but after getting blown out by Cal amid the Nor-Cal fires, they never found their footing again. The x-factor for this game is the loss of the Cougar’s top two wide outs, Tavares Martin Jr. and Isaiah Johnson-Mark (combines 130 catches) who will not be playing in the Holiday Bowl. The Cougars have a heavy passing offense, led by Luke Falk and rank second to last in rushing. If Michigan State can pressure Falk into making bad decisions, they have a chance (HINT: watch film of the Cal defense that held Falk to career lows and the Cougs to 3 points). But give Falk time, and the Spartans are in for a long night. X-Factor: Mike Leach will have something up his sleeve and coach Wazzu to a 10 win season, I mean look at the guy.

It’s rivalry week. #WSU is one win away from the @pac12 title game.
But a reporter getting married in 9 days asked @Coach_Leach for wedding advice tonight, and Leach’s answer was incredible. I’m dying. 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/alhOiWd9Tv

The guy is basically a legend in the coaching world. No-Nonsense Mike will find a way for the Cougs to win.
