I’ll be using Bovada to place bets this year so lets keep it as a standard for all lines this year.
Bryce Love, Stanford +700
Bryce Love had the second most yards in the nation last year with 2118 yards and 19th TDs on 263 touches. Stanford wen 9-5 but lost the Pac-12 championship and the bowl game to TCU. Recency bias kept Love from winning the Heisman last year. With Stanford returning almost every starter, Love looks poised for another 2,000 yard year. But can Stanford win games to get Love the attention he needs?
Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin +850
Jonathan Taylor had 1977 yards on 299 touches last year and was Wisconsin’s main workhorse back. Best part, Taylor was only a freshman. With every offensive lineman returning this year, Taylor will have every running lane possible this year. Wisconsin takes pride in their offensive line and Taylor will have to give his line a part of his Heisman. If Wisconsin finally wins the Big Ten Championship and makes the playoffs Jonathan Taylor will be the Heisman Winner.
J.K. Dobbins, Ohio State +1800
Dobbins only had 1403 yards and 7 TD’s last year, but Ohio State has the media’s attention and is a top 5 team in the nation. With RS Sophomore QB Dwanye Haskins and RS Freshman QB Tate Martell being unproven passers on the national Division 1 stage, Dobbins will be a key part of the attack. If the sophomore running back can improve on last year and break the 2000-yard mark, he should be able to make it to New York as a Heisman finalist.
