Syracuse vs. Western Michigan
Line: Syracuse -4.5, O/U 66
Both defenses are new. Western Michigan brings back 5 starters on a team that allowed 29 points a game and 400 yards. Syracuse brings back 6 starters on a team that allowed 30 points a game and over 440 yards a game. Syracuse brings back QB Eric Dungey behind an offensive line that starts 3 seniors and a redshirt junior. However, the Orange have some developing to do on the receiving end. Western Michigan returns most of their offense from last year. Home dogs on this one. Pick: Western Michigan +4.5
Army vs. Duke
Line: Duke -13, O/U 45
Last year, Army led the nation in rushing with 4,710 yards and 50 TDs and had only 361 rushing yards and 2 TDs through the air. The Black Knights still had a 10-3 record last year. Duke on the other hand has a very good defense, ranking 16th in the country. Army’s run game will slow the game down a lot. Take the under. Pick: Under 45
San Diego State vs. Stanford
Line: Stanford -14, O/U 49
Last year the Cardinal lost to San Diego State while visiting San Diego. Stanford is led by Heisman hopeful Bryce Love and quarterback K.J. Costello. San Diego State lost their 2,000 yard rusher, Rashad Penny to the draft, but bring in Juwan Washinton who has lofty expectation after gaining 759 yard and 7 TDs last year. Stanford will be looking for a redemption after a 4th quarter meltdown last year. However, San Diego State has 3 straight wins over the Pac-12. Stanford may win, but San Diego State covers. Pick: SDSU +14
Colorado vs. Colorado State
Line: Colorado -7.5, O/U 65
We saw Colorado State comeback against Hawaii last year in a 77 point game. The Rams lost that game 34-43. K.J. Carta-Samuels had 537 yards and 5 TDs for for the Rams. Colorado comes into the Rocky Mountain Showdown winning 7 of the last 10 games. Both defenses are poor so this should be a high scoring game. Colorado State has already shaken off its first game scaries especially after coming back from down 30 last weekend. Colorado State wins this game, but its close. Take the over. Pick: Over 65.
