Well we had the first push of the season last week thanks to a pick by Purdue in the last 5 minutes of their blowout against Ohio State. That puts us at 24-22-1 on the season and in positive territory. We are still not comfortable and this is the business of making money. #2 Clemson vs. Florida State
Line: Clemson -17, O/U 50
Clemson is a beast. The NC State game was supposed to be close last week, but Clemson blew them out of the water. Florida State is 3-3 on the season with losses to Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Miami. Clemson has one of the best defenses in the nation and is humming right now. Florida State is getting better but Clemson is the best team in the nation. Clemson rolls. Pick: Clemson -17
#20 Wisconsin vs. Northwestern
Line: Wisconsin -4.5, O/U 53
I will be at this game and its a 11 am kick off. Weird things happen in Evanston at 11 am. I have followed Wisconsin closely due to the lady being an alum, and the Badgers are getting better every week. Northwestern narrowly escaped a scare last week against Rutgers. Wisconsin is the better team and Northwestern is as one dimensional as it gets. It will be a low scoring game and Wisconsin covers. Pick: Wisconsin -4.5
Illinois vs. Maryland
Line: Maryland -17.5, O/U 53
Illinois cannot stop the run to save its life. But its defense is capable of staying in games. Wisconsin broke the game last week because of 5 Illini turnovers in the first half, 3 of which were inside its own 35 yard line. There is no way Illinois coughs the ball up 5 times again. I don’t think AJ Bush will play much this game, Rivers will take over and will take Illinois to at least cover. Pick: Illinois +17.5
#7 Georgia vs. #9 Florida
Line: Georgia -7, O/U 52
Florida beat LSU and LSU man handled Georgia. Georgia always has that one game where they are caught off guard. There is no way this becomes a trap game, but there is no way Jake Fromm and Kirby Smart lose two in a row. Best part, this game is being played in a neutral site and Jacksonville is too close to Georgia for this to be firmly Gator territory. Georgia picks up it boots and rolls Pick: Georgia -7
#11 Washington State vs. #24 Stanford
Line: Stanford -3, O/U 53
Talk about an exciting game to end the night. Bryce Love isn’t having the season as Stanford is one of the worst rushing teams in the league. But that’s ok because because K.J. Costello and JJ Arecega-Whiteside are connecting well, especially inside the redzone. But Gardner Minshew, Mike Leach and the Cougs are rolling. Minshew has 2800 yards and 23 TDs. Money is on the Cougs to cover. Everybody and their daddy will pick the Cougs, who are coming off a big win over Oregon at home last week. Wazzu is undefeated against the spread and they score too much for Stanford to cover. Pick: Wazzu SU +125
